Minor version updates – eCMID and eMISW

Please refer to the following statement issued on Tuesday 14 April regarding minor version updates for eCMID and eMISW from IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association). New revisions of IMCA M 149 and IMCA M 189 are being launched at the end of this week.

Dear colleagues,

New revisions of the eCMID (IMCA M 149 issue 11.1) and eMISW (IMCA M 189 issue 4.1) are being launched at the end of this week, together with related updates to the eCMID website and inspection application.  There will be downtime from 19:00 BST (UTC+1) on Friday 17 April, for a number of hours, while these are put in place.

The changes are minor in nature – generally updating NA/NS and image upload options on a small number of questions – and do not alter the actual question sets.  Additional guidance has been added to the Dynamic Positioning supplement of the eCMID to clarify what an inspector should be looking for in respect of each element.

Inspectors undertaking an inspection imminently should download and save the current eCMID/eMISW template within the eCMID application before 19:00 on Friday to avoid disruption – these versions will remain valid for uploading.

A further notice will be posted on the eCMID website when the updates are complete and the new versions are available.  Updated review copies (protected PDFs) will be made available via the eCMID information pages and a link provided.
