eCMID Accreditation Fees

The costs of becoming an eCMID AVI include:

eCMID Application
£425
Application fees are non-refundable.

 

eCMID AVI Validation Course
£475
You must complete our eCMID AVI Validation Course within 12 months once your application has been approved. Otherwise, your AVI status will be suspended, and you will no longer be able to work as an eCMID AVI.

 

Additional Vessel Type
£110
You can add additional vessel types to your accreditation. This fee is if you wish to add one additional vessel type following your successful application.

 

Additional Vessel Type (two or more)
£212.50
This fee is if you wish to add two of more additional vessel types following your successful application.

 

Annual Renewal
£225
This fee includes the cost of processing your CPD claims. You will be invoiced every year on the date of your successful application. You will be issued a new digital photo ID card each year, which contains an expiration date.

 

AVI 5 Year Revalidation – Part 1
£295
This part of your 5 Year Revalidation includes a review of your professional activity over the past five years. This also includes the cost of your annual renewal fee.

 

AVI 5 Year Revalidation – Part 2
£150
This part of your revalidation includes a mandatory half-day online course.

 

Reinstatement admin fee
£150
From 1 December 2025, there was a change regarding fees when AVI revalidations/renewals are overdue. We will send you a 60-day reminder and a 30-day reminder on your due date as usual. If you have not met our requirements for revalidating/renewing your accreditation, your accreditation will be suspended and your access will be withdrawn from the IMCA database. You will still have a 3-month period to meet these requirements after your due date with no consequence. However, from 1 December 2025, you will now be charged a £150 admin fee to be reinstated after the 3 months have passed.

 

Cancellation Fees – eCMID AVI Validation Course
If you fail to attend the course you are booked on, for whatever reason, we will transfer you to the next available course. However, should you fail to attend two consecutive courses, you will be liable to pay in full again, £475, to attend a course.

Should you have to cancel your course with us, the following cancellation fees apply:

• • Cancelling 30 days before the start of your course: 25% of course fee – £118.75
  • Cancelling 21 days before the start of your course: 50% of course fee – £237.50
  • Cancelling 14 days before the start of your course: 75% of course fee – £356.25
  • Cancelling 7 days before the start of your course: 100% of course fee – £475
