Application Process

As part of your application, you must provide documents proving that you have the relevant industry experience and competency to become an eCMID AVI to one of our assessors.

Our guidance for applying online for eCMID accreditation status short video explains what evidence we will need from you in your application.

Please take a moment to watch this video to help us manage your expectations. It is less than 3 minutes long.

You must complete our eCMID AVI Validation Course within 12 months once your application has been approved. Please note, you can attend this course before applying, but this does not guarantee a successful application.

You may apply for accreditation for up to six vessel classifications:

  • eCMID Vessel Inspection (≥500gt)
  • LNG-fuelled
  • Jack-up
  • Pipe and cable layers
  • DP
  • eCMID Small Vessel Inspection (<500gt)

You can find out the costs involved with becoming an eCMID AVI on our Fees page. You will be invoiced once a soft check of your application has been completed.
