eCMID Accreditation Fees
The costs of becoming an eCMID Accredited Vessel Inspector are as follows:
eCMID ACCREDITATION FEES
A fee of £425 is due to enable us to progress and process your application. Accreditation fees are non-refundable. The onus is on the Applicant to ensure they meet IMCA’s acceptance criteria as defined here.
eCMID AVI VALIDATION COURSE (online)
A fee of £475 is payable to attend the one-day online eCMID AVI Validation Course – these courses are scheduled regularly throughout the year. It is mandatory to attend and complete a course within ONE year of being accredited, in order to validate your accreditation. Failure to do so within this specified time frame may lead to your Accredited Vessel Inspector status being suspended.
ANNUAL FEE
An annual fee of £225 is payable to keep your accreditation current and includes the cost of administering your CPD. You will be invoiced annually on the date of your successful accreditation. A new photo ID card will be issued each year clearly dated.
ADMIN FEE
From 1 December 2025, there is an upcoming change regarding fees when AVI revalidations are overdue. We will send you a 60-day reminder, a 30-day reminder and a final reminder on your due date as usual. If you have not met our requirements for revalidating your accreditation, your accreditation will be suspended and your access will be withdrawn from the IMCA database. You will still have a 3-month period to meet these requirements after your due date with no consequence. However, from 1 December 2025, you will now be charged a £150 admin fee to be reinstated after the 3 months have passed.
